Is there a catch to this?

Hi Folks,

Is there a catch to this?...

1) I want to shoot 24pa with my new dvx100a, and mix with recent pd-150 footage. I want to edit on a 24pa timeline for a quality DVD output. Couldn't I simply bring the ole' pd-150 clips into Cinema Tools and convert them from 30fps to 23.98fps? Does this conversion have any impact on quality/speed/jerkiness of the pd-150 footage? I've not found any warnings on this yet...and it seems viable.

2) Also, does converting back and forth (30to23.98to30) in Cinema Tools cause any problems? Not that I would go back and forth, I'm just trying to understand the 'what if'... to understand what to avoid messing with. I have a good working knowledge of how pull-down works (frames/interlacing sequencing) thanks to 2-pop.com.

Thanks for Your Help,
Glenn
