Is there a better way?

I recently did my very first stop animation music video and edited entirely in FCP 5. I used razor and cut each photo to the right run time (0.05 sec) it was VERY time consuming. Is there a better way to handle and edit photos for stop animation in FCP 5?

I don't work with FCP, but with Premiere Pro you can set the duration of imported stills (.5 secs, 1 sec, 5 secs, etc). You must be able to do this with FCP, check the project settings.
