Is the Rode warranty transferable?

Is the warranty transferable on an NTG-3? The Rode website makes it seem like the answer is yes, but I just called up and they said the 10 year warranty is only good for the original owner. Anyone have experience with this?

Read the warranty document in full - if it's for the original order only it will say either that it is not transferable or that it is for the original owner only.

If Røde say it's not transferable ask them to show you in the warranty where it says this.

If you are in the UK the UK distributor says THIS.

This is obviously to stop grey imports.

Personally I would write to Røde in Australia and give them the details and see what they say.

If you are in the EU the sales of goods act implies 6-years with a mic. like the Røde - but it will depend where the original purchaser bought it from and I think you would need a copy of his original receipt (assuming you are buying rather than selling).

Old thread but I just want to comment that in Denmark, EU... warranty follows the product ALWAYS... You just need the original receipt.
