I've been told the Quadro FX is only necessary for 3D Graphics and special effects programs like MAYA and 3D Max. I'm looking to buy a pre-built system that comes with a Quadro FX card (The 8710w T9500 Notebook). Seems like a very expensive system, but I can afford it and I've been let down by GeForce and ATI Radeon cards before. The review is impressive

and one of the main reasons I decided to go with this system. I don't want a MacBook Pro, as I am a heavy Windows user. I will be using this notebook basically for HD editing, motion graphics ( After Effects ) some Photoshop and some "live capture" with the right software, as I don't want to invest in a 64 Gb card. Even without live capture, I will still use it to dump the 16 GB P2 content on it on location to continue filming.
So I guess my question is....is the expense justified? Will the Quadro FX give me any advantage over the other graphic cards?
