is the macbook pro retina not powerful enough to run Davinci resolve Lite?

I just downloaded DaVinci Resolve Lite to my Macbook Pro Retina 15" (2.6 Ghz Intel Core i7, 16GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 RAM, 320 GB free), and I'm only seeing half of my image when I apply any effect in the program:





I already tried installing DaVinci Resolve Lite on my 2008 Mac Pro desktop and it crashes every time. That's why I hoped i could at least run it on my Macbook Pro Retina. Am I missing something? A setting perhaps, that's making it act this way?

I guess there is a solution to it. Let me find it and I will post it. But it could also be a gpu problem.
