Is the LA7200G different from the LA7200?

I remember reading somewhere that Panasonic "cleared up" some problems with the anamorphic adapter for the DVX100, but I (a) can't find the source now and (b) am not sure that source was correct.

My questions are:

(1) Has the ana lens been changed at all since release, and if so, how?
(2) Does this have anything to do with the ana lens sometimes being listed as LA7200 and sometimes being listed as LA7200G, or is that similar to the fact that the DVX-100P is usually listed just as DVX-100?

(I searched through the archives but couldn't find any info on this.)

The Anamorphic (officially a "16:9 Conversion Lens"
Model # AG-LA7200G)
I purchased this lens a year ago.
The above model number is on the box.
