is the 100b included mic mount any good?

Hello,

I've read the FAQ's and performed multiple searches and can't seem to find any info of whether or not the microphone clamp that came with my 100b is worth using or not? I don't yet own a shotgun mic but am in the market and want to know if I need to buy a seperate mount. I'm look at getting a decent mid-range mic (like maybe the the Audio Technica 4073) and want to make sure my mount is up to par.

I have an original DVX and an HVX. The mic mounts are identical so I assume
yours is the same. I really like the mount. It appears to have a very soft silicone rubber insulator, an excellent way to keep out unwanted low frequency sound. No,
it's not equal to a real shockmount, but for what it is (a standard accessory),
does a pretty good job.
