Is Pyro A/V Link accurate?

I just read somewhere on one of these threads that you can use a pyro a/v link to substitute using the dvx as an external monitor. two questions for those using the pyro:

Q. Is the color correction more accurate using the dvx rather than this device?

Q. Is it used as a secondary monitor or an external firewire, as in vegas?
