I was positive that Premiere awlready supports it ! People are you sure that it doesnt ? It is a great surprize for me to hear, I feel like I come from another planet or something...
Not that I dont believe you, but i just DONT WANT TO ! So I hope we have a lot more answers in this question so I get finaly conviced that I threw some thousend euros out of the window. I am actually intresting if it does support 25p (PAL) DVCPROHD and I dare to add 1080p
the framework of PPRO pretty much supports any codec resolution or framerate, but not naitively. working with 3rd party software or hardware, it can do pretty much anything though. all they need to do is bring in some of that support to be naitive instead of relying on 3rd party apps, hardware. im still under the impression that it will support all sorts of HD options in the next release naitively, but well have to wait and see untill we hear something official.
Neil, thanks, but let me rephrase the question and be more specific:
What software do I need, if any, to edit with PPRO codec DVCPROHD 25p 1080 in my 3Ghz 2G ram raid0 laptop ? Is CanopusProcoder station what I only need ? Thanks in advance.
