Hi,
After trialing the various ways one can convert Canon .mov files to AVI/Quicktime I got the following results on one sample file:
Original MOV file - Size: 83.9 MB
Neoscene Demo Transcode: 101 MB - plays fine in CS4
Streamclip via Avid Codec to Quicktime: 228 Mb - plays choppy in CS4
Matrox Codec via Adobe Media Encoder: 187 MB Plays ok when window kept smaller.
Question:
Is Neoscene far more efficient in both file size and ability for Cs4 to use?
...or would it just be that Neoscene is using a lot lower data rate by default? (I set Media Encoder to 99 Mbps..I didn't see what Neoscene used)
Perhaps the saying "You get what you pay for" is true?
