I know very very little about sound recording. Maybe this is a silly question to your sound gurus. I recently bought a DVX, and looking to add a mic to it for a small film project I'm working on(mainly indoor). So I asked a friend of mine who has recorded sound for another film project. He told me that I need two of those shotgun mics to get stereo sound. He said there's only 1 wire coming out of the mic, but there're 2 XLR inputs on DVX. So if I want to get good stereo sound. I need two of them. I admit I'm totally confused at this point. I've been reading this forum a lot, mainly those newbie posts about what mic to buy. Anyway, do I really need 2 mics like my friend suggested? Thanks.
