I'm about to enter college and I'm really estatic about videography and post editing. I would like to make a career out of it and work in Hollywood. I know I got BIG dreams, but everybody's been telling me going to college and majoring in film is a complete waste since a degree will get you nowhere. They say that you got to start outside school searching for opportunities and work your way up from there since companies nowadays want people with experience, not people with degrees. Is this really true, and what are my chances of making a good career out of my favorite hobby?
P.S. Is video symphony in Santa Barbara, Cali. a good jump start in making it in the film industry?
