is it possible to ripple delete like in FCP7???

I know the keyboard shortcut for ripple deleting in CS6 Premier Pro, "G".

But is it possible to ripple delete and not leave behind a gap as it is in FCP7?

In Premiere Pro I always have to do two steps: ripple delete/trim, then manually erase the resulting gap. I want to be able to do this in one step. Is it possible in Premier Pro Cs6?

Thank you in advance.

Hold down CTRL when the pointer is close to the edit point. It will turn yellow, putting you in Ripple Trim mode.

Since I'm not that familiar with FCP... and don't recall what FCE had...

If you have a blank or 'clip' in the timeline, 'select' then crtl+delete will cause the blank or clip to be deleted, and all later clips 'ripple' to fill the gap.

You can right click on the clip or empty space in your sequence, and just choose "ripple delete"

If you use it all the time, I would suggest mapping it to a hotkey.
