Is it possible to get an Edius Neo 2 demo?

The Grass Valley website has a download page that lets you request a demo version. After registering with the site the DL page says it will send you an email with a link to get the demo download.

Problem #1: no email is ever sent.

So I called the Grass Valley Tech Support line to see if I could get the DL link.

Problem #2: Grass Valley Tech Support does not have a link and instead referred me to Panasonic because I want to use the software for output from my Panasonic GH1.

So I called Panasonic using the number Grass Valley gave me.

Problem #3: The number is for Panasonic Professional Production Products, of which the GH1 is not one (according to them.) So they took my name and number and said "someone" will call me back.

I'm not holding my breath for a callback.

Does anyone here know how to get a demo version of Neo 2? Thanks.

You should get it from GV... Not from Panasonic. GV must have gotten confused by the use with your GH1.
Contact GV.. Also be sure to check your junk mail folder.

Yes - I called Edius Tech Support again and left my info. They called back and sent me an email with the link necessary to DL the demo.

Will be interesting to see how this one compares with Vegas.

I am often surprised that people want to compare Neo, which is a consumer lite version of Edius, to the other NLE's. You might be better served to get the demo of Edius itself and compare that.

He probably wanted Neo2.5 to test his GH1 footage. When he originally posted Edius 5.5 wasn't yet released at least a demo of it wasn't available.
