Is it possible to convert old 35mm film projector lenses to make EOS lenses?

A multiplex I know are replacing all their old 35mm projectors for digital ones, so they're actually throwing the old ones out. Kinda crazy if you ask me, but they're part of a major chain and all their theatres are digitizing and I guess they don't have the manpower to try selling the old film projectors.

I'm not sure I'll be able to get a complete one, but I might at least be able to snag a couple of lenses or something, and I was thinking, would it be possible to somehow convert them to make camera lenses? Just for shits and giggles mostly, see if I could fit them to my 7D or something?

Or are projector lenses built very differently from camera lenses?

It's going to be like when people use anamorphic projector lenses on their EOS cameras. Since they are meant for projection the minimum focus distance is likely to be too far to make their use practical.

They make good paperweights though!
