is it possible to bring a 24p 2-3-3-2 AVI from Vegas to FCP and export lossless?

I edited my 24P movie in Vegas with 2-3-3-2 pulldown and I want to create chapter stops when I'm burning in iDVD (can iDVD even burn progressive discs?). Will I lose any quality bringing my Vegas movie into FCP to create chapter stops for iDVD. If not, what's the best way to export it and still keep the same quality. I'm not familiar with FCP.

I don't know if iDVD can produce progressive disks, but you can export from Vegas with tga files in a quicktime container, or you can export uncompressed. You'll lose nothing that way.

I'd recommend frameserving for speed, but if you've got QT 6 or newer installed, just render as a Quicktime movie, selecting tga in the compression options found under Custom

i'm sort of confused by all of this, I don't want to lose any quality, and it seems like going from uncompressed to quicktime to MPEG2 finally for the DVD authorizing would take more quality away from the final product.

I've got several hours to let this thing sit and render, so i'm not worried about time.

P.S how do I add these chapter markers in vegas?
