Just curious if the fs100 can be used as a p2 store like device. Can you shoot in multiple recording formats on a p2 card and then when the card is full can you transfer the card contents to the fs100 like you would a p2 store?

Not really, since the FS-100 is designed to record to disk from the HVX firewire port. To use it as a transfer device would require the camera reformatting the drive and dividing into partitions-- one partition for each card to a max of 15 partitions on the disk. You would then potentially lose the OS and other files on the FS-100 which make it work. So, my best guess here would be no.
Thanks Ned. Just throwing this out, not sure if the HVx200 will let this happen but would it be possible to play back the P2 card contents from the camera with the fs100 connected and recording the contents then? And if the clips are in different recording formats.
