I have about 20 hrs on my camera, got the dirty head sign once. I shut the camera off and on and it was fine for the rest of the shoot. Im using mq tape , I was in a bind the shoot before this one and used the cheaper panny tapes. Could that have been it , also is it ok to use compressed air to blow it out. I have a big dust problem in my house, wanted to try that first.

I would not blow compressd air into your camera. You might push the dust further into the camera, or damage some of the components.
Just use the head cleaner (only if you need to). It is odd that you should have a problem with only 20 hours. It may just be a one time glitch, but if it continues you might want to dig out that waranty.
