Is it normal

[Mino]

For a cat to want to fetch? My latest feline aquisition never tires of this game. String beans are her favorite. Anybody else got a cat that fetches? Personally I'm thinking she's a reincarnated dog.

Re: Is it normal

No it is not normal. You either need to give it away or shoot it with your DVX and send the footage to David Letterman.

Do Ducks and cat's get along?

Re: Is it normal

My cat plays fetch.

NOTE: Being a cat this means when she wants to. Unlike a dog, cats tend to be a tad self serving.

Re: Is it normal

This one will play anytime, even from a dead sleep...Throw a bean and she's in till you drop, not her cos she won't. I have a clip somewhere. I'll post if and when I find the damned thing.

Re: Is it normal

Sure it will. As a kitten... When it gets older it will do what it wants when it wants...

Re: Is it normal

Well she's a year and change now so I guess she's still a kitten. I hope she never stops because the game is fun, and about the only excercise I get.

Re: Is it normal

I had a female cat who would fetch... (she's gone to kitty heaven now). She was the only cat I'd ever seen do this. So, I say it is rare. To what degree?...

Re: Is it normal

We had a cat named Mr. Man (RIP) :'( who would fetch rubber bands shot across the room. He never tired of this game.

Good ol' Mr. Man...

Need a hankie now.

Re: Is it normal

This is funny. I used to think my cat was the only one in the world to play fetch. Guess not.

Re: Is it normal

I used to pull pins out of hand grenades and have my cat fetch them. Boy, those were the days.

Re: Is it normal

Rare indeed; I have seen one cat actually fetch. You have yourself a gem of a pussy.

Re: Is it normal

I may have to question the intention of that last comment.

Re: Is it normal

I've seen cats do this before. I had one cat that liked eating carrot cake. I also had a cat that loved water. Well, it was water trained as a kitten. I got used to being in water. It was werid though seeing this cat swimming in the pool. I guess, if its trained properly as a kitten you can get it to do almost anything, even DP for your next feature film.

Re: Is it normal

Your cat is having an identity/species crisis.

Re: Is it normal

I've heard of this phenomenon. It's called "Cat Fetch Fever."

Oh come on! Someone had to say it.
