That is a plug-in that has been added to your browser. I assume that the words which are double underlined when clicked either popup a window with information pertaining to that word, or take you to another site that is somehow tied to that word.
I've seen this before, but unfortunately don't remember what add-in it is. If you have recently added any toolbars to IE, you might consider disabling, or better yet, removing them. If you right-click in the toolbar area of IE you will get a menu with a listing of all the installed toolbars. I don't know for sure that this add in is linked to a toolbar, but it is a place to start.
Glad to hear you fixed it...What morons write that code? What's next....Your windshield turns into a TV screen that plays advertising at red lights? I so much want a little key that targets the place this crap originates...You push the key and a 5000 volt targeted spike hits the sender.....Blam, poof no more gibberish.
Somebody should start a blog or something that lets everyone know who's gaining from this spyware. Who buys the collected info , which companies support this invasive **** that quite often kicks your computer so hard that it's rendered useless. I'd like to know. Collectively, if we all stood together as one united force and refused to buy the products maybe the madness would end. This is a subject the guy we can't talk about should tackle. Sorry I'm a born again add hater. I write to all these companies and suggest they make a breakfast cereal or something not too demanding on their underdeveloped craniums...I hate the bastards!!!!
I play a little game with my local Esso station. I put in, say, 50 cents worth of gas. On credit card. As soon as their stupid ads start playing, I hang up the pump, go inside, tell the attendant they just lost a full tank of gas worth of sales because of the ads, and leave.
I am curious if it clicks with them eventually. I am not holding my hopes to high, though...
I am pretty pro-business and pro-free enterprise, but ads drive me nuts - TV ads, web ads, billboard ads... it's THE AGE OF ADS!
It's not the advertising per say that sends my brain to the heavy rant locker, but the mindless messages that seem to be designed to piss me off. The schooling the voice talent receive that renders each voice the same inflection up and down at timed intervals. I am a good consumer and generally have one of whatever it is the've built or baked over the years. the products I buy are researched, then purchased on an agenda of price and availability. Spyware to me is like having someone follow me around all day and report my activities which I find invasive. I have learned to love and anticipate with glee the tele-marketer, It is the only time I can legaly (based on my internal moral coding) totaly SNAP at a total stranger and run totally rampant with every foul word I know. For me that is King Kong in the stress relief department.
Don't tell me this....When I used to drink, I would get the urinal people so mad because I knew the damned things were coming. I be this weaving, bobbing, peeiing prophet blabbering the coming of the urinal LCD. And they've arived? is that what your telling me? God I can't count the number of times I nearly got **** kicked spreading the word. I may have been a little overzealous in my delivery I guess, but I'm getting satisfaction now. Oh feeble minds of the 80's......I TOLD YA SO!!!!!!
