Does anyone else find it ironic that for the 'behind the scenes' video for Eminem's "Not Afraid" music video, 8mm film was used, meanwhile the actual video was shot on RED?

It looks like a mix of 8mm and other footage. But no, I don't find it ironic. Almost all BTS are shot in lower quality, for both logistical reasons as well as because when your BTS look the same as your actual video, people can get confused about which is which.

I don't know if 'ironic' would be the word I'd use... I'd probably utter "why?"... is the new 'cool' 8mm film... for the 'real stuff'... To me it is perhaps a gimicky promo deal, now that Behind-The-Scenes are coming out of the closet and being appreciated for 'works in and of themselves'...

The last bridal show the Wife had a booth to sell her services one of the vendors was offering 8mm coverage of the wedding... not that any brides were rushing out to get 8mm projectors... it was all digitized and presented on DVD (pre HD DVD/Bluray era...).

As it is the Daughter picked up a viewer/cutter for 8mm a couple of weeks ago... so maybe I'll buy an 8mm camera off an e-bay auction...

When I used to shoot weddings that was a service we offered. I had several clients express interest in the service but not a single one ever went through with it.
