is it just me?!

i got the Nattress product for making 60i footage work on a 23.98 timeline, but in editing the other day, auto render simply converted the 60i footage without any "special" effort on my part or Nattress....the resulting mix looked fine on my computer... am i just not seeing the problems? is it only revealed on a regulr tv? and/or will i have quality problems later on output to dvd?.....i noticed in an earlier post, one of the members said that doing the auto-rendering is simply how he mixed diff footage.

(on a related note,,, i have seen so many posts about how to get good slowmotion, and people seem to talk a lot about using plugins or other products, but when i simply slowed down footage (to as much as 30%) using the FCP speed feature , it looked great on output to dvd)

help?---i dont think my first take was clear...i guess i am asking if simple rendering of mixed footage on one timeline will work?

It can look fine...to you. But others might not think it looks good. The Nattress plugins use special algorithms to remove certain frames and do certain things to make it look better. Do a test...use the Nattress filter on one clip to convert and just render the other. See how they compare.

Also know that how something "looks" is relative. What looks fine to you might look awful to someone else. Many people find FCP's method of slow motion perfectly fine, others don't.

It's ALL relative.
