is it fixed in Vegas7?

I use Vegas 6 for editing of original HDV m2t's. The problem with this is when i import clips into a project after about 70-80 clips Vegas crashes. Windows' Task Manager shows that memory use grows as more clips get imported and then when the physical RAM is exhausted (in my case 2G) Vegas6 freezes and then boom - crash.
So if anybody knows how to fix this crash in Vegas6 or is it fixed in 7, please let me know.
Thanks all

Vegas 7 has dramatically improved HDV support, so it's very possible that an upgrade would fix your problem.

Vegas 7 provides the Cineform Intermediate that alows you to convert files to AVI's. You have to import the M2T then render using the Cineform AVI template. I believe version 6 has this but not sure as I started with 7.

If you buy Connect HD from Cineform you get the HDlink program that can batch convert M2T files before import to the Media bin so you will import the AVI's for direct editing. This full fetaure version is $195. It is also faster than the free Cineform Inetrmediate that ships with Vegas. Raylight also has the ability to bulid Intermediate AVI's that will edit much easier and both preserve orginal quality.

Connect HD works with version 6 as well so you would not necessarily have to upgrade to 7 but I think it is a much improved piece of software for HDV.

downloaded vegas7 demo and thank God the problem is fixed , memory does grow but not as fast and it sorta never goes past 1G. As for ConnectHD, I dont see any need in it, i can edit native HDV just fine. Besides when using intermediate .. well i dont have that much disk space.
Thank you every1 who helped out
