Is headphone delay normal?

Stark newbie here. Just got the 100B, and mounted Sennheiser ME66/K6 on it.

With headphones on, I hear a lengthy (about half a second) delay between the actual sound from a source (say, a person talking) and the sound through the headphones. Is that normal? Or is there some setting I can tweak so the audio keeps up (or nearly keeps up) with realtime?

the delay is since you hear it after a to d and back
the 100 b has ability to monitor befor the digitizing , its on the menu

They got rid of the 2-frame audio monitoring delay on the new version of the DVX? Sweeeeet. :thumbsup:

headphone delay

Thanks for the response.
I've been through every menu item, and I can't find one that specifies where in the chain I monitor the audio. Can you give me another hint?
This is unrelated to the Display/Audio Dub button, right? :dankk2:

HP = Headphone

HP = Headphone

Ah, got it. It's "H.P. Mode" under "Other Functions." I didn't know HP stood for "HeadPhones."

That echo was driving me nutz! Thanks for the assist.

Can you apply 100B firmware to the 100A? I hope so...since there are so many A's out there...it is almost impossible to monitor on the camera with that camera.

I don't think you can upgrade that aspect of the DVX, but it would be great if you could. I've learned to work around it, but honestly, a headphone amplifier works great to help!
