After the sad news yesterday about Minghella passing away at 54, questions are coming up about what will be his last film, "The No. One Ladies' Detective Agency" based on the book series set in Botswana.
BBC One financed the 1 1/2 hour pilot and HBO ordered 13 episodes. The pilot will air this Easter Sunday in Britain but as far as I can find, we won't see it in the US until next year. If anyone hears of an earlier showing, please PM me. Otherwise, I'm hoping someone in GB will make a copy for personal use only sharing. I've been to Botswana and have read the series so I don't want to wait a year to see this.
Thanks and feel free to PM me. I have a multi-standard DVD player and set. I have plenty of obscure tapes to trade, mostly B, noir, some horror and art film, many not commercially available.
