While surfing I came across a discussion where some say Facebook is not profitable yet. How this can happen? According to them it sells stock to cover expenses. What do you think? Any idea?
Certainly possible, but that's not really something any of us can know. I do know that Youtube wasn't profitable recently, so it's not unheard of. However, Facebook is implementing some new marketing offers (that I'm not so happy about) which will give a boost at least. There really aren't all that many ads per however much server load and the targeting isn't very good. Not sure if the advertisers pay with the knowledge that it isn't very good factored in.
