Dear All,
I read the manual, but I am not sure if DVCPRO HD 1080/25p is a native format for FCP. Please advise.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
King

DVCPro HD is a native codec for Final Cut Pro. But Final Cut sort of requires, most of the time, for the files of said codec to be placed in a .mov wrapper. Thats why, while transcoding from P2 or SXS cards doesn't change the codec or any of the information (hopefully) of the video, it does change the wrapper and as a result, the file type.

ic, thanks a lot, grimrebes. In fact, because of changing the wrapper, it takes more disk space.
Thank you very much.
