Is anybody going to the AFM this year?

mickey munday from cocaine cowboys? i would love if you could do a cameo in a music video im shooting soon. you think that would be possible? i mean if you really are mickey munday from Cocaine Cowboys.
 
It's very cool at AFM lots of good info. and making contacts. First day on a half badge and am seen old friends and making new ones. Everyone needs to go at least once.
 
damn filmman.......i was outside when that blue sports car was outside i saw that girl in the red dress like a thousand times throughout the day, she was cute and nice..... and i was eating at the bar across from fred williamson when you shot him sitting down talking, lmao!! i was talking to a group of filmmakers who all were there chilling out and just networking with each other. i probably walked past you a dozen times and didnt know what you looked like. :)

this was my first AFM, but to be honest the amount of people selling seem to be 20 times greater than the amount of people buying. a lot of the suites on the hallways seemed to just be filmmakers or companies twiddling their thumbs and bored waiting for somebody to walk by. at least three people who worked it the prior years said this is the slowest turn out...which they expected and i expected as well knowing how things are with the economy and everything. still i could tell deals were being made, probably just not as many as prior years.

i still got some cool contacts met with a couple distributors and enjoyed being there.

i'm interested to hear what any of you guys that have been there before thought.
