Is all duvetyne (aka commando cloth) the same? Is there a better alternative?

After many years, I need to retire all my duvetyne. It's getting pretty ratty, even by my rodential standards.

It looks like 16oz/sq2 duvetyne is still the common weight, but has say 12oz gotten better (or is it also fine?).

Any particular brands, or just go with what my local expendable houses have?

What else is out there?

What are you all using these days?

I just buy a big roll of it about every 3-4 years and I am set, it's about $200.00 per roll last tiem I bought it. I don't know the weight, whatever the standard is?
As pieces get too ratty, I throw them out and rip a few new pieces from my roll. It lasts pretty long overall for me.
But I don't use it for every shoot at all, just here and there.
