Is a "radio mic"

[mattadamsapple]

the same as a wireless lav?

[MattinSTL]

not necessarily a lav, but a wireless mic of one kind or another.

[Barry_Green]

Exactly, but for clarification: wireless does not = lavaliere, nor does lavaliere = wireless. Lavalieres are the mics most frequently used wirelessly, but you can use other mics wirelessly, and you can use hard-wired lavalieres without them being wireless.
