TC, Spidey(Bad Barney is back, cool), HillCity, enjoy it while you are under 30, because it all goes down hill after that. I'll be 32 in April and after last night and today I feel much older.
We did portraits at a Christams Party for a local bank last night in Ocean City, MD. We did over 300 portraits. I pulled a muscle in my leg and I am hurting. I have been limping around all day and at my part-time job a friend I played roller hockey that I hadn't seen in 7 years came and the first thing he said was, Man you've gotten big, you been working out? I told him no, I eat a lot and I got married. Must have been the sweat shirt that threw him off because it hides my stomach.
Oh also, to all those who replied to posts on questions I have asked that I may not have said Thank You, but I always try to remember to post a Thank You or PM you personally, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!! ;D
I appreciate all the help and tolreance you guys have given me, even the one I think that said RTFM! Thanks.

Not a bad idea.
One reason the "Thank you" response doesn't occur is from past experience of being berated for doing so. Lots of boards consider the single "thank you" response a waste since it is should be implied and adds to the clutter. I don't necessarily agree with this but I do understand in some ways.
It's the sentiment that counts I guess, not the 'two words'. A simple few thoughts of understanding the time spent to answer is important, imho. Some of these guys spill out lengthy responses that we all learn from.
Letting them know we either agree, get it, don't get it, or whatever, seeemed important to me. It's the folks who follow up with arbitrary 'new' questions that drive me bonkers...if that makes sense. Guess I over did it, but I think there's validity to this to some extent.
Guess I'm just saying...ya'll better reckognize!!!
I don't think you over did it. You brought up a valid point. It can be annoying when someone spends a few minutes answering a question when the poster could've spent all of ten seconds googling an answer. (I've been guilty of that)
And as you say, even worse when a poster gets terse and demands an answer to a follow up question.
A simple thanks can be pretty validating on a monday morning.
But if you REAALLY want to say thanks how about giving me twenty dollars.
