King of Australia
There doesn't seem to be a thread for this...
Anyway, to cut a long story short I have been waiting for what seems like forever to see this movie and well... it kinda sucked. Actually no, not sucked but I'd say I was very dissapointed. To me the story was flimsy and seemed to not gel. It started out really well then lost its' way. To me it seems like they filmed the first draft, before someone came in and went "Good job, now I'll take the script and add some kind of structure."
Yes, I am a bitter man.
On the upside, Robert Downey Jnr was as expected - brilliant. Charasmatic yada yada yada. I give the movie 2 gold stars just for his presence. He IS the movie.
The Iron Man suit was spot on.
Quarter of a star because the director Jon Favreau was in "Made".
3 out of 5 gold (and maroon) stars.
