Iris Effect In Post

I'm looking for a quick and easy way to do an iris effect using Premiere Pro (1.5). Not the iris wipe transition, but the old silent movie look (vignetting?). So, there would basically be a feathered circle around the edge of the shot with maybe a little flicker. Any suggestions?

Easiest way would be to create an animation of a flicker using After Effects, save it with an alpha channel, or use it in Premiere via blending modes. I don't know that you can have anything like Wiggle as an expression, or even if you can use expressions in Premiere.

In AE, you can either use a vignette created in Photoshop and use the wiggler on it's opacity, or you can create a black solid, create a circular mask, set up the feather on the mask, and use the wiggler on the mask's opacity, or on the solid's opacity.

Then bring it into premiere and lay it on top.
