iPod widescreen converting

So all of the movies I make are anamorphic widescreen. I want to put them on my iPod. In Quicktime pro, I can scale it but it becomes 320x176.76 if i preserve the aspect ratio, which I want to.

I can import the original FCE projects back into a 4:3 project and "distort" them into letter boxed and re-export them, which is a major pain though.

Any suggestions on how to letterbox them?

Hold down the Option Key and choose File>New Sequence.

Choose DV/NTSC as the Preset. (4:3)

From the Browser window,Drag your anamorphic sequence into the 4:3 Sequence - it will automatically letterbox

File>Export Using QuickTime Conversion> Export to iPod (320x240)
