iPod nano

Got one as a gift from my boss today.

Dang these are small! 4gb - i picked the white one over the black one on a count of my nappy hands. hard enough keeping my RAZR clean.

Sweet deal. Way to go Apple (again)

i had to delete the email from apple announcing those suckers. sooooper sweet. too tempting. (can't wait till it's 20 gigs, though.)

the way i see it, you really can't go much smaller. thinner, yes. but it's about the size of a business card, and business cards don't usually come much smaller for a reason.

seriously. it's smaller than a PCMCIA card. and lighter too. i'm sure to lose it soon enough!

pretty impressive color screen too.

just good timing.

he was going to get us all iPod mini's, but then they announced these and he held out (had his wife camped at the apple store)

I want to camp at the Apple Store. I could visit the Mrs. Field's that's nextdoor to it for sustenance.

What's that? I can't hear you...i'm listening to my nano. :)

and how about that new motorola ROKR. Got iTunes built into it. Of course, i JUST bought a RAZR 2 weeks ago. bastids! (actually having a RAZR and a nano is WAY cooler than getting a ROKR)

Yeah, I just bought the black RAZR about 10 days ago then, like you, I noticed the ROKR. I gotta say, the ROKR looks bulky and ugly compared to the RAZR. Cool technology, though. I can't wait until they fit it into a RAZR-like form.

I LOVE my RAZR. (black too) but i was thoroughly annoyed with iSync not recognizing the damn thing thru bluetooth. Upgraded iSync, then found out i needed to upgrade to Tiger, so i did that too. and it STILL didnt see the RAZR. could iSync fine through USB, just not bluetooth. I could even browse the RAZR via bluetooth for pictures and such, just couldn't get iSync to see it bluetooth. Tried EVERYTHING. (or so i thought)

Who would have thought to actually power off the damn phone after upgrading your mac? Probably most people. Just not me. So 3 hours later and $$$ for tiger (which i was going to do anyway) and all i had to do was turn of my f*kin fone!

And Terry, you should quit hitting your RAZR with that drum stick.

I can't justify buying the nano right now. I have a 40gb ipod, but always get the itch to buy something new and cool. If I was in the market, I might get one. But my niece is dying to have an ipod, so I might decide to become her favorite uncle.

Hey PK. I read in another post about your "sock suspender fundraiser for your nano".

Good luck. I'll buy two pairs (or should i just buy a new pack of socks at target?)

What's up with the Nano-haters!! LOL. Once again Apple has pwned the competition and are on their way to having a 99% market share of music players. I'd like to see the same happen with OSX. iPods are just damn fine products. If you don't like them then go buy a Dell DJ so you can be *different*!!

Reservoir, that's one of the funniest posts I've read in a long time! I mean, Apple's whole marketing strategy used to be "think different"!

No doubt Apple is totally slaying in the portable-music market. I believe the Rio line was just discontinued. The move to the Nano is probably the most appealing thing I've seen them do. I love the idea of flash-based storage; I shied away from the hard-disk-based ones because if you left something like that in your car here in Vegas, it'd melt... I wonder if the flash-based ones would survive that better...
