Ipod Compression

Hey guys... I compressed an avi with sorenson for my ipod. For some reason i cant sync my ipod with the new movie. Itve tried changing from mp4 to m4v or vice versa i cant remember..

its a 30 GB ipod video from 3 years ago. any help would be appreciated.

thatas great, but why isnt my compression working is the question.. its an ipod format. strange..

is there a way to tell which compression was used on the file. maybe ipods dont like sorenson aac codec..
