Iphone/Ipod Touch as on camera Monitor

Hey all

Im new to this forum, so this may or may not have been covered.

I have a Sony EX-1 and im looking at getting a 35mm Adaptor, i really like the look of the Redrock M2 encore and have heard great things about it.

Instead of buying the flip module (more light loss) would it be possible to connect my Iphone to the AV out leads and use it as an on camera monitor to flip the image. The size and weight, means it could simply attach with an elastic band or small strap onto the current LCD flip out screen and may also work with the hoodloupe eyepiece.

Does anybody know if theres an app that would make this possible? or a cord?

I don't think that would be possible, plus, your iphone isn't going to be any better than your eyepiece/LCD just buy a 100 dollar monitor.

Don't be cheap on the most important aspect of HD recording and Adapter usage. A $100.00 monitor will prob be worst than your LCD. Good luck finding a 100 dollar monitor with SDI. Plus you are going to want something that you can see your focus with. With the SmallHD monitor you will never need another camera monitor again, for any camera.
