iPhone 7 with 4K 60p ?

There are few new alleged tidbits amongst the usual discussion of an iPhone 6s-esque design. One standout claim is that the iPhone 7 can record 4K video at 60 frames per second. This is up from 4k @ 30 fps on the current iPhone 6s and is a significant upgrade as no phone on the market today can do this …This report is regarding the 4.7 inch iPhone 7 so it’s not even a case of the 60 FPS 4K feature being part of the dual camera system. It will apparently be available to all iPhone 7 owners and may explain why Apple decided to double the storage to 128 GB and 256 GB on the higher-capacity iPhone 7 models. 4K video on the iPhone uses a lot of space already and 60 FPS doubles the number of frames the system needs to save, ballooning file sizes even more.

There are many MicroSDXC cards that are fast enough for 4K 60p .

Samsung today introduced the world’s first flash memory cards in UFS form-factor. The cards are compliant with the UFS Card 1.0 specification and offer performance comparable to that of desktop SATA SSDs. It is worth noting that the new cards are not backwards compatible with current microSD devices, which use various versions of SD cards, but they open doors to new levels of removable storage performance as the spec will develop in the coming years.
The new UFS memory cards from Samsung rely on the UFS 1.0 Card Standard (single 5.8 Gbps lanes) published earlier this year. Samsung intends to offer UFS cards with 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB capacities. The top-of-the-range 256 GB UFS card will offer sequential read performance up to 530 MB/s and sequential write performance up to 170 MB/s. As for random performance, then Samsung declares 40,000 read IOPS and 35,000 write IOPS for the 256GB version.

The iPhone has no MicroSDXC slot so they will be coming with a 256GB version but Samsung will be using their new UFS cards in future versions like the S8 with maybe 4K 60p with h.265 like that in the NX1.

good advances for the dual camera f1.8 28-56mm equivalent optical zoom and and 10x digital stills. true tone led flash. adjusting LED to compensate for flicker. very impressive. but not a word about video being able to do the same processor intensive processing. no mention of video at all. Makes me wonder if the DSP chip does not have the power to do them all in video. This is the major unanswered question.
