Are you talking about a master timecode generator? I wouldn't use an iPad for that. Denecke and Ambient make very good master time code generators. If you are talking about a smart slate, then there is the movie slate app, but I don't like using an iPad for slate purposes. Slates get dropped all the time and iPads don't like that. If you need a smart slate then Denecke and Ambient both make nice products.
