Hey guys,

I know this is a dangerous topic so I'd like to keep it civil, I am honestly interested in this. I am wondering what people use their ipad for, and what market it is targeting. I have always thought they are super cool and would love to have one, but with an iphone and a laptop already I find it hard to justify, but am curious if I am just totally missing something, as to me it seems to fit right in between there.
 
Trips, plane travel, portfolio, couch surfing, game playing, and I never take a pen and pad into a client meeting anymore. Use the digital slate app as well on set for some shoots.
 
I am not an apple fannatic, not even close but I have an ipad and it has been part of client presentations and it has served to show clients the finished product, I will just say that it has paid for itself many many times over, could I have used a laptop? sure but I like practical and letting clients hold the finished product, imply ownership kinda.
aside from that I use it for many other things, like a storyboard guide, a timecode slate, etc.
an ipad is a product you will never need, its more of a want, but thankfully I have found many many uses for it that are work related
 
A non-Apple owner here, I like its potential use as a teleprompter. But when I tried typing on one in the store, had more stray keystrokes than intended ones.
