Invoicing software for Rentals

What are you guys using? I'm starting to get a lot more work for lighting rentals and I'm having trouble finding software that will do what I'm looking for. Currently, I've been using invoice2go to do all of my invoices for labor, and it works great, I like that I can use it on all my devices (iPhone, iPad, Desktop) and that I can access all my invoices through their cloud network, but I can't specify how many days something went out for and so it makes it difficult when I have to make bids for jobs that are multiple days long. Anyone have any suggestions?

I do not know about a pre-made solution, however, there is a program called Filemaker Pro (Windows/mac) that is a relational database that can set this type of stuff up very quickly. They have the ability to access the database from an iPhone and iPad as well.

Most small businesses use Quickbooks (because most accountants are familiar with it), which has invoicing capability. In that you can define your dimensions for unit price. Shortest route to implementation would be to have your accountant set it up for you.

I use Mac Freelance. You can do fixed rates and hourly rates.

I like Quickbooks, but it is somewhat intense on the learning curve, and fairly expensive. LOL, there are people who make a living out of helping you with QB problems. Eventually, I plan to get an RFID reader and tag all my props.....then I will move up to QB because Freelance wont handle that.

A program my company just started using is Flex, flexrentalsolutions.com. This is an online based rental and production software. For us, this is the third rental software package that we have used over the last 6 years. The other systems we used were all in house servers so we were not able to access anything while on the road. We switched to Flex and so far have been quite happy with it. It is amazingly customizable and they work on a monthly subscription plan that is quite reasonable compared to some of the programs we looked at. It may be a touch big or advanced for you right now but it is something that can be well worth it to keep things straight as you grow.

Tried this program and it was exactly what I was looking for. Extremely customizable and finally I can just do whatever I want with invoicing and our gear inventory. Thanks so much.
