I am just getting started with launching my business and was wondering what you use for Estimates, Invoice, Billing, Accounting & Customers Management.

Do you use any software or templates?

Thanks,

Bryan

I use quickbooks pro for now but as an open source advocate and die hard Linux freak I'm considering moving to Ledger-SMB. For trouble ticket tracking system consider RT or SugarCRM. All these applications work well and can be installed and run on a modest Linux workstation.

Quickbooks Pro for me, too. It's pretty easy to use, and when you set it up right, it makes producing reports and prepping for tax time a piece of cake. Note, don't get the Mac version of Quickbooks, though. It sucks, and it's missing a bunch of features that I find useful. I just used Quickbooks on the Windows partition of my Macbook Pro.

I also use Quickbooks Pro, mainly because the 3 accountants I've had over the years used it, and wanted me to use it also. They can just take your file, update it, do your taxes and then send it back to you. It's great.

Sorry for bumping this thread but I guess this might be helpful for others who's trying to look for some good CRM software. Freshbooks specializes in invoicing and billing and it has CRM features too so this tool might be the one you are looking for. You can check freshbooks' features in this link and also other CRM and project management tools with features compared at each other.

Although it can't do accounting, as a freelancer I find invoice2go, the iPhone app, to be incredibly helpful. Allows me to invoice while I'm still on the job. Worth the 10 bucks or so.

If you are mac based, MYOB has been a good choice. Recently, they changed their name to Account Edge. They offer free software for your accountant and have both windoze and mac versions. A few years ago, I tried QuickBooks for Mac, and it was just dreadfull.

Worketc (www.worketc.com) combines CRM, project management, invoicing and billing in a simple to use and integrated solution. It's a SaaS, so you access it through your browser and pay a subscription fee, but given how many functions it encompasses, is well worth the price, IMHO.

CRM software is a application that can help you to manage and run your entire business. From prospect and client contact tools to billing history and bulk email management. The CRM software allows you to maintain all customer records in one centralized location that is accessible to your entire organization through the password administration.

Let me throw in Quick Books Online. I switched last January, and I must say, it's pretty awesome. Automatically everything is backed up and accessible anywhere you have an internet connection. There are constantly updates and it is a flat fee per month. Live chat is always accessible to help with any issues.

The web based CRM software is the right choice if you were a small to medium sized business. You will get to enjoy unparalleled flexibility that too at unbeatable rates. your online CRM software can be tailored to match your specific needs and requirements.
