Invigorator PRO. can it load textured models into AE

..K, i know that AE doesnt render true 3D and all... so lets not get stuck on that please. all i would like to know is if Invigorator PRO renders its models into AE with thier textures still intact. so if i buy a robot model and import it into AE through invigorator, it will still have the same textures mapped properly to it when i twirl it around in AE. ive looked for a while and cant find any info on if the textures stay intact into AE. .. or even into invigorator to begin with when imported from an external program or library into invigorator. .. i just need to be able to buy a pre textured model and load it into AE through invigorator with all of its textures as purchased still intact. any help would be appreciated.

I read as much as I could from their page, downloaded and read through a couple of .pdfs, looked at examples, and went through their forum.

From what I gathered, it can't do what you are looking to do. It clearly says it can import models from all the main 3D apps, but none of it's examples and renderings show any kind of detailed texturing, and certainly not something like UV texturing.

All the examples shown that are from a 3d app have very, very basic coloring. It's almost as if you can import the model, but you have to use Invigorator to color it.

I may just download the demo, through a textured lightwave object in there and see what it does.

But I am thinking it is not what you are wanting. It doesn't act like a seperate render engine.

EDIT: Tried it out, and got this:

but textured should have been:

And it doesnt like subpatching very well, at least, not with four sided polys. Also, I could not find any way to load textures, nor any way to load a texture to a specific region of an object. I loaded in two other objects that had differeing textures on different places (wood and metal in one) and I could find nothing that indicated Invigarator recognized the different textured polys, what the name of the texture was, or even that the object had textures on it.

And yes, that is my face.

hey thanks for checking into that matt. i did alot of research on it before as well and couldnt really find anything definitive on it. im not a fan of loading demos on my machine though. if it could load the textures it would be killer, but i guess even without the textures its got its uses for some dark shadowy or obscured object in the background or something. ..but wierd, thats your face. ...how do you see what your doing? ;)

That model has Endomorphs on it to blink the eyes, raise eyebrows, open the eyes wider, grin, frown, and simple things like that. I may set it up to open the mouth one day.

And that's just the face. I do have one where there are eyes, my own, actually, taken from a close up of my eye. My left one, to be exact. But this particular mesh is the face only.

And to answer your question, I see all, even when it is a 3D representation looking at me, looking at me. I'll tell you this: It is indeed strange to see myself from the monitor looking at myself as I type this. A little disconcerting, but I can handle multiple input feeds, so I am up for it.
