Investment questions

We are finishing an investment proposal package and have questions regarding the
process of securing advertising capital for the film.

Our plan is to produce a documentary film and introduce it on the film festival circuit.

We hope to sell the film on the festival circuit, but are unsure how the
process works. If the film is bought on the circuit, does the purchaser typically
pick up the advertising and marketing costs, and if so, do such costs need
to be repaid by the filmmakers (us)?

Are there reputable sources that give such information that can be cited for
invesment security purposes?

Also are there any known sources that may be used to determine the sale
price for a given film? For example, if a film sells at a festival, how can one
find the price that the filmmaker was given for the film, including 'back end'
points? We would really like to find out the purchase price for a given film, and
also see the back end points that are retained by the filmmaker. We would like
to have some examples to show potential investors.
This information should be available, but we just don't know where to
find it.

We are aware of the figures given by Baseline FT, however the figures found
on Baseline only represent the Production Costs and Gross income amounts.
No information is given regarding the purchase price for any of the films we
checked.

If anyone has information about this, we would appreciate a heads up.

Thanks for any info.
