Check out this short 13 second intro for my new dvd reel. This is the intro when you first pop the dvd in, right before the video selection appears. Hard to tell the little details because of compression so...sorry for that.

I like it very much!

I do have a few suggestions though:

When the flapping shield first appears, try adding a slight fade-in, or make it come in from slightly above/below the camera, so that it doesn't "pop" on.

This one is a bit more subjective, but try smoothing the motion when the camera transitions from backing up to moving right.

The music fit very well, and the sound effects added a nice sense of depth. Good job!

it makes me want to see the full DVD
Really good

I second Macworm's suggestion of smothing the transition.

The camera's movement was very linear. It went from this shot to that shot to the next, almost in a jumpy manner. Not distracting, but a little harsh. Take the keyframes you made for the camera movement and turn them into either Easy Easy (or one of its variants), or change their interpolation to something like Conituous Bezier, etc.

You may get some strange looking results that way, so you may have to tweak the keyframes once they have been changed.

The sound effects really helped, and the music was perfect.

It was not too long, and not too short, and had enough movement and elements to keep it interesting and keep my attention through the whole thing. I didn't get bored, and I didn't feel like I was being assaulted by movement or imagery.

The stacking/stomping sound was a bit of a shocker, but worked and was in nice contrast to the music. THAT got my attention, and was short enough to get he job done perfectly.

The rest of the elements and the color scheme worked really well, and pulled the whole thing together.

Nice use of particle effects too. They lend towards the whole, but don't stick out. Good one.

I would just look at adjusting the "flow" of the camera.

Well done.

Cam move definately needs to be tweaked as others have said. I don't like how it moves screen right then it seems to move back screen left. It would almost be better as one continous move from left to right.

And...ease, ease, ease! The wings animation needs some smoothing as well; so do the TV's falling.

For some extra touches I would maybe make the limbs sway slightly. Think about the design and what you're trying to communicate, don't do things to make it "look cool".

The texture on the bg is really nice and the tree limbs look good too.

I can't really add anything to the above two comments, only agree. Work on some camera and keyframe smoothing and you're rockin on man. Lookin good.
