Intro Animation Help Needed

All about the Caption
Hey Everybuddy - I'm working on a video project that will consist of two dual layer discs in an album box. One disc will contain two football games, in their entirety, shot with two DVX100s and complete with replays, etc. The other disc will have a 2-hour long documentary and a few other HS football-related videos.

The documentary begins with discussion about a coach who took the team to 3 State Championships in 4 years beginning with 1959. That Coach passed away earlier this year and his youngest son is the current Coach of the same high school - so, it has an interesting heritage.

Recent threads here, regarding logos and such, have resulted in some awesome ideas and work. I would like to see if anyone is willing to help me by designing an interesting opening/title sequence incorporating these pics.

Four things I want to incorporate into the design:
1. Pic of Tom McVay (old coach with microphone)
2. Andrew Becker (#83 who passed away before last season began)
3. Old Team (who won state championships in 1959, 1960, & 1962)
4. Duster Magic (text - The title of the DVD)

I'd like it to have an Old School (not the movie) look combined with something like Friday Night Lights (yes, the movie).

Also, if you have the skillz... I need a design for the DVD album box and for the two DVD discs.

Thanks in advance for any and all offers of assistance!

You need someone with mad After Effects skills. How about something like opening with shots of the Dusters deserted football field and while the camera is cutting back and forth (like it's covering an invisible game), you're hearing what sounds like old radio broadcast or recorded announcing covering the game. Then you fly in 2-D cutouts of the team, players, and coach into the football field plate as various relevant audio clips play over the crowd/game noise. Give the whole thing a faded old color film look. You could add some inpirational quotes from the coach as scrolling/flying text and some music to finish it off.

Wow, Barry! That is a great idea!

Here is an aerial pic of their football field. So, anyone want to take a shot at this?

im working on something here but I dont know if you will like it.. It might be a step in the right direction..

Hey
Alright I created something. It wasnt exactly what I had in mind, but I couldnt find any stock footage of old football games to throw in there. Click on football intro.

The music is by edith piaf and the picture of the TV is just one I grabbed off the internet. This is just to get things started. Let me know what you think.. dont worry its nothing special.

Thanks, Brian! That's a pretty cool start. I'd like to see a few more of the pics incorporated, if possible.

If anyone else has any ideas they'd like to share, I'm open.

One thing I'm really needing is a design for the album sleeve and for both discs.

Hey
Here is another one. Pretty similar but with more pictures.. I dont have any fancy animation programs to do really nice stuff. Im just using vegas. I looked forever to find a good football font and finally found one that I thought worked. Its ok but again nothing spectacular.

Brian - Thanks for your time and efforts. It's a good starting point, but I think it will take someone with a good knowledge of compositing and the right software to pull it off.

pookie - I have about 7 days (maximum) until I need to get this project off to someone for authoring. Then, I need to get it replicated (estimation was 3 weeks) and out to my customers before we get too near the end of football season. I'm not 100% certain, but Kyle (Kai) might be making an intro for me.

I had someone make an animated text/graphics opening, but it doesn't have any elements (like these pics) that personalize it and I'm not overwhelmed by it. It looks like an intro into a generic sportscast.

This entire project is a labor of love. I could never hope to make back what I've already spent on tapes (more than 30), batteries (mics), DVD-Rs, VHS tapes, gasoline, wear and tear on my vehicle and 11 months of my life, but that's OK. The joy I get from helping to uplift the entire community makes it all worthwhile.

Because I operated as a one-man-band for most of this project's production, it is not a cornerstone of my production capabilities by any means. It has it's moments, but is mainly content-driven. The bottom line is my audience will absolutely love it because of that very reason.

I have seen plenty of docs like this on those channel.

Yeah, it's not the most original thing, but I'm doing this project out of love for a community. It's all about the content. I'm not trying to get the thing broadcast. I'm simply making it for those who care about that small town and it's heritage.
