Interview Lighting Kit in 2K-3K Range

I am working on budgeting and pre-production on a documentary currently. Right now, I am attempting to budget out lighting. As far as I can see, we will only be needing lighting for one-person interviews. The budget is currently wide open, but from my limited research, it doesn't seem like it will cost much more than 2,500 for the complete interview lighting kit. With this in mind, what would you suggest? Do I need to budget more money towards this, or will that amount do? Do you have any suggestions as to what kits I could acquire?

For a basic interview kit I would go with a Lowel Rifa softbox kit. We use them at work.
