I saw a device similar to the Interrotron for sale on some website and I cannot for the life of me find the site. If you aren't familiar with the device it works like a teleprompter, but instead of text it displays the face of the interviewer in front of the camera lens so that the interviewee is staring directly into the lens of the camera.
Has anyone else seen this??
thanks-
anthony

I've just rented teleprompters and fed them the video feeds...nothing special to feed it text or video...or use one prompter for the interviewee and use any camera that has a video out with a monitor placed close to it for the interviewer works just as well...even my Canon Powershot still camera has live video out...you could probably use a webcam and laptop as well...be creative!

You can get small prompters for a lot less than the Eyedirect product...and you would still be able to use it as a teleprompter! Example: http://www.prompterpeople.com/minidetail.htm

and another: http://cheapteleprompter.com/?ven=google&gclid=CJ3g8_SvhpICFQJ7xwodeVl4Dw

I purchased everything I needed from PrompterPeople. Two full prompter setups - one small and one large. I went with a larger model for the prompter facing the interviewee because it gave me the ability to reposition the camera independently of the prompter glass (the smaller prompter is attached to the camera, the larger one is free standing). At some point I am going to do a write-up/review of the setup I have.

michael, can you describe your set up?

Michael, I'm applying for a grant due April 15 to get the equipment for an Interrotron so I'm trying to figure out what I need. I have my primary camera: a Panasonic HMC-150 but I don't know what other equipment I'd need and I'm trying to investigate that.
