Hi-
I have set my project to match my footage (squeeze) to 1.2 Widescreen in Premiere. However, I have 3 clips. Two clips from the same tape, and a clip from a second tape. Mysteriously, when I bring the clips into the timeline, only ONE of the clips has maintained the correct aspect ratio of 1.2 Widescreen. The other two clips, however, have black bars on the sides of the monitor image and was still squeezed footage.
Question 1: Does this make sense to anyone? How could a capture be set up for widescreen, I have ALL the same aspect ratio footage, yet the final capture yielded different results.
Question 2: If I go up to the Project window, right click the clip and interpret the footage, will that maintain the aspect ratio that I interpret it to? Meaning, once I interpret, is it a done deal? Or, do I have to do anything else to the footage (in particular, the mysterious square pixel .09 footage) once I complete editing it with the 1.2 footage.......though, Im still scratching my head about the different results...
Question 3: If interpreting is a fine and quick fix, does this result in any quality loss whatsoever? If so, I'd like to restart this capturing process from the beginning to see why I am getting buggy results. If it doesnt affect the quality, I will forge on and interpret the non-widescreen stuff.
Thanks in advance-
Rick
