Hey, no one seems to know the answer to this, but doesn't hurt to ask again...
Powerbook g4 crashed a while ago and I get the spinning grey apple screen - which means damaged drive/osx code.
I try to reboot from the CD for disk utilities - it says the internal harddrive can't be unmounted.
I then get Norton Utilities then Disk Genius - they said similar things - that the internal harddrive cannot unmount, so my drive can't be rebuilt, repaired, reformated, etc - no access at all.
Anybody heard of this or know what it means - Not even the geekiest of techs I know seems to have a clue and it's driving me insane.
If I remember correctly - Disk Genius, during the many times I've tried that program, read something along the lines of "disk cannot be unmounted OS9" or something like that mentioning OS9 - could the dual boot in classic be holding anything up?
